Brokenness

When we are experiencing a deep brokenness we will no longer be able to be aggressive, demanding, or argumentative. There is an inner peace so profound that it holds our inner man stable like a ship anchored in a storm. This peace keeps us from being swept away by winds of thoughts and emotions that drive us to dangerous aggression towards others.

Beware the false sense of empowerment in "being right", for we are often led astray by strong carnal logic that is "legally correct" but void of grace.

We feed the beast of the stronghold when we blame others for our irritations and struggles. We must DENY the beast by refusing to give in to its strong passions

The Lord always provides a way of escape and taking this way by faith starves the beast and weakens the stronghold.

Don't allow thoughts about how we are perceived to give the beast a place to torment us. Recognize thoughts that are accusing of others as false facts - they are always false when they are not full of mercy

Accuracy is not equal with truth! The truth in Christ is intended to reconcile men, but the facts of the accuser are used like a prosecuter bent on proving his point to the jury. When we are deceived into defending ourselves with the facts we have lost our way. It's better to be wronged than to ever be defensive or demanding.

It's better to give mercy and grace than to try to balance a matter by pointing out where someone else is wrong.
